Invitation: Best Fashion Graduate 2013

 

I am so, so happy and very proud to announce that this blog has become one of the partners in the Best Fashion Graduate program created by the Slovak Fashion Council and its partners.
Just to explain: the Best Fashion Graduate is actually not a simple award given out, it is a long-term support program with the aim to every year find and support the one fashion graduate (bachelor or master) best prepared to start off their career in the fashion industry.
This year the one student has been found and will be given among others: 1 000 Euros for material, a professional seamstress team to work on his/her collection, a professional photo shoot of the collection, presentation at the International Fashion Showcase at London Fashion Week, a catwalk show at BFW 2014, English language course, business and marketing couching, as well as media coverage by someone watching closely and documenting the progress (oh yeah, that would be me :-)
I am really excited about it, because it is something that's never been done here before for the students. Thumbs up for that!

Anyway, this is an invitation to the exhibition of the master diploma works of the AFAD students, where during the opening the Best Fashion Graduate 2013 will be announced. Meanwhile you can take a look inside the jury session, here.

Som takáááto happy a hrdá, že tento blog sa stal jedným z partnerov programu Best Fashion Graduate, iniciovaným a vytvoreným Slovak Fashion Council.
Pre objasnenie: Best Fashion Graduate nie je "metál" na hruď, ale program na podporu študenta-absolventa módneho či textilného dizajnu, ktorý spĺňa kritériá medzinárodnej poroty. Tento dizajnér je podľa jej hodnotenia aktuálne najlepšie pripravený na budovania kariéry v módnom biznise. Tento rok porota toho študenta už našla, a ten medzi inými získava: sumu 1 000  Eur na nákup materiálu, možnosť realizovať svoje kolekcie v profesionálnej krajčírskej dielni, photoshooting kolekcie, účasť na International Fashion Showcase počas London Fashion Week, prehliadku na Bratislava Fashion Weekend 2014, kurz alebo angličtiny, biznis a marketingový koučing, a mediálnu podporu priebežným sledovaním a dokumentovaním jeho práce a tvorenia kolekcie a značky (by Tonbo :-)
Osobne sa z toho veľmi teším aj preto, lebo doteraz sa u nás pre študentov nič také nerobilo, takže všetky palce hore!
