Hi everyone, Juliana from the jul here with “5 piece French wardrobe”. Those who read my blog already know what a serious torture I am undergoing. I try to change my shopping attitude and avoid the crammed fast fashion closet, but mostly I would love to develop some kind of everlasting collection of mine. Therefore I am glad Tonbo gave me the space to sum up the term in its nearly end...
Basically,
the 5 piece french wardrobe is about purchasing only 5 key pieces per fashion
season (spring/summer and fall/winter). I know, only 10 garments a year can be
really painful, but here are few rules that make it not so unbearable.
= shoes DO
count
= basics up
to 100€ DO count
= more
expensive accessories DO count
=
secondhand treasures up to 3€ DO count
= underwear,
socks, stockings do not count
= gifts and
souvenirs do not count
So yes, I
made it!!! However, I am not sure if the euphoria originates in the fact that I
resist all the compulsive picks on sales or it is just aftermath of amazing
Prague Pride week. Whatever... I did NOT buy anything I regret, much more I
have some kind of twisted relationship with each garment.
Conclusion:
definitely worth it! I hope I have inspired you at least a little to think
about your shopping habits.
Pics are taken by Paulina not long time after I
decided to start with 5PFW - still simpler and simpler.
PS: To all of you living in Prague I would love to
recommend Le Petit Brunch as a MUST-add-to-your-regular-events. The space of Nova Syntéza, great coffee and homemade goodies from girls make it the perfect noon hangover and
family friendly disco. The next one is going to be an official Dreft Fashion
week event so get dressed, starve a bit before and come!
