Love Stuff: THIS ring

My unbelievable guy made me this ring (yes, he made it, not only the design, but the thing itself, with the help of his blacksmith master and a friend studying jewellery. Unf.....gbelievable). It is my absolute favorite thing right now, right in the middle of my gold phase that's probably here to stay (oh, here about my gold phase).
How can you say NO to something like this?! Well, I did say YES (yaaaaay! :-) And because the summer is coming, there is a new label/tag I am starting to use under some blog posts that says "wedding", meaning there will be a few articles on this topic. BUT! Since I have always had a reserved feeling about weddings, I do not posses any collection of pictures, links to blogs, webpages, picture galleries with inspiration and that's what I need right now!!! If you do have some, please share, send me your inspiration, thank you very much beforehand (with this particular hand, haha).

Môj neskutočný chlap mi vyrobil tento prsteň (presne tak, vyrobil. Teda vymyslel dizajn a pomocou svojho kováčskeho majstra a kamarátky šperkárky ho vyrobil. Neskutočné.) Momentálne je to moja absolútne obľúbená vec, presne uprostred mojej zlatej fázy, ktorá asi len tak skoro neskončí (ozaj, o tej zlatej fáze tu viac).
Na toto sa nedá povedať NIE. Tak som povedala ÁNO (wueeeeeej! :-) A pretože ide leto, na blogu pribudne nový label/tag "wedding" pod niektorými článkami. ALE! Keďže som nikdy nebola zarytý svadobný snílek, nemám slušnú zbierku fotiek, linkov na blogy, weby na túto tému a teraz to potrebujem! Ak viete o dobrých zdrojoch plných inšpirácie, sem s nimi, podeľte sa, prosím, budem vďačná! Krásne dni prajem!

It's all in your mind, at London Fashion Week

Met her at Somerset House. Only now do I notice the really wild mix and match of a little bit of everything (high hair, fur, lace, baby pink skirt, racer gloves, canvas bag, pendant necklace and red lips), ruled by her total coolness. It's all in your mind.

Zo stretnutia na chodbe Somerset House. Až teraz som si dopodrobna všimla ten mix najrôznejších elementov (výčes, kožuch, čipka, púdrová, rukavice, plátená taška, medajlón a červené pery), ktorý spája do jedného celku jej výraz dámy nad vecou. Všetko je to o postoji.

At the Designer showrooms, LFW

Just a little bit more of your patience, please, on the subject of London Fashion Week, because this part is really worth it. Walking through the Designer showrooms was a very educational, enlightening and fun experience. It is almost scary amazing to see how many beautiful, perfectly executed brands are there in the world (and I mean in the fragment of the world called Somerset House that week), and realize the competition is freaking huge challenging and is a must-see for all young designers. Here are some of the highlights (including the beautiful collection above by the London based Pavane):

Ešte, prosím, majte chvíľu strpenia s témou London Fashion Weeku, pretože tento zážitok stál za to. Prechádzka po Designer showrooms bola veľmi poučná, povznášajúca a zábavná. Je až desivé úžasné vidieť koľko krásnych, kvalitne spracovaných značiek existuje vo svete (teda, iba v jeho fragmente zvanom Somerset House, a v ten týždeň), čo je sakramentská konkurencia výzva a zážitok pre každého mladého dizajnéra. Tu pár osobných zážitkov (vrátane krásnej kolekcie s príbehom - na obrázku hore - od lodnýnskej značky Pavane):

The whole millinery and jewellery section was very colourful and fun. Especially when we happened to visit it at the coctail time, ehm :-)

Celá klobučnícka a šperkárska časť showroomov bola zážitková. Najmä, keď sme ju úplnou náhodou navštívili počas šumivej recepcie :-)

One of my top discoveries: an actually rain-proof, well tailored trench-raincoat by Terra New York. Just get them the Nobel prize, please.

Osobný objav zo showroomov: naozajstný, kvalitný, nepremokavý pršiplášť v tvare trenchcoatu od Terra New York. Nobelovku za toto!

Soft, London

Soft. That is the only word that comes to my mind. Soft colours, soft materials, soft hair. And nice mid-section.
All right, motivation is the second word :-)

Nežná. To je jediné slovo, ktoré mi napadá. nežné farby, nežný materiál, aj vlasy. A pekné brucho. 
Tak, motivácia je hneď druhé slovo :-)

Jesus Gang Project by Jakub Polanka

That night at Red gallery in London's Shoreditch neighborhood, it felt very... "neighborhood-y". Lots of familiar faces excited and curious to see Jakub Polanka's show, produced by OLO-DRESSING. In London. In a gallery's underground space. Now, how cool is that?
Actually, the whole show and collection was transmitting that cool street vibe. Not like Bratislava or Prague street. More like London. Paris. As a follow-up to his Bellevile collection presented at both Prague Fashion Weekend and Fashion LIVE! in Bratislava, it felt even more street. And punk in the way it was executed. Hence the black plastic shopping bags. Covered faces. Fingerless gloves. Model's own sneakers. The writing/spraying on the wall. All this supported by the feel of the garage-like space. Oh, and just when I thought massive caps were so 90's, here I go craving one.

V ten večer, v neznámej Red gallery v londýnskej štvrti Shoreditch, bolo tak príjemne "známo". Kopec známych tvárí, zvedavých na show Jakuba Polanku, v produkcii OLO-DRESSING. V Londýne. V podzemnom priestore galérie. Však najviac.
Celá show aj kolekcia vyžarovala ten cool pouličný dojem. Avšak ďaleko od bratislavských či pražských ulíc, toto bola ulica londýnska. Parížska (tá v Paríži, nie v Prahe, ha). Nadväzovala na Jakubovu Bellevile kolekciu, prezentovanú na Prague Fashion Weekende aj na Fashion LIVE! v Bratislave, s ešte silnejším pocitom ulice. A pankáčskeho prevedenia. Ako čierne nákupné igelitky. Zakryté tváre. Bezprsté rukavicové návleky. Tenisky, pravdepodobne patriace modelom. Nápis/stencil na stene. To všetko podporené pocitom garážoidného priestoru... A najmä, keď už som mala pocit, že masívne šiltovky sú prežitok rokov 90-tych, zrazu po jednej veľmi túžim.

After the show, everyone wanted a piece of the cap... I am very lucky and thankful for mine, here on Facebook, very gangsta chic :-)

Po prehliadke si každý si chcel urvať kus šiltovky... Ja som mala to šťastie a ďakujem za tú moju, tu na Facebooku, very gangster chic, haha :-)

Eva, at London Fashion Week

What I love about this picture is that it seems like an empty Somerset House in the middle of fashion week... when in fact it was randomly raining and most of the people were hiding in those archways. And that Eva here is the third woman from LFW wearing a white shirt. And the fact that I have recognized her in the crowd because of her blog. It was nice meeting her in person :-)

Čo mám na tejto fotke rada, je dojem prázdneho Somerset House uprostred fashion weeku... keď sa všetci schovávali pred dažďom v bráne. A fakt, že Eva je už treťou ženou s bielou košeľou. A že som ju spoznala v dave len na základe fotiek z jej blogu. A tak ma tešilo konečne aj naživo :-)

At the International Fashion Showcase, LFW

Have you ever though of (for example) Vietnam in the sense of fashion and Vietnamese designers? Not me. And probably not most of the LFW visitors. That's why for the third year in a row, part of London Fashion Week is the International Fashion Showcase - exhibiting emerging, young designers from all over the world. A great way see what's going on in young design in the participating countries, and also for the designers to confront others work and network.

Napadla vám niekedy, napríklad v súvislosti s Vietnamom, móda? Vietnamská móda a návrhári. Mne teda nie. A pravdepodobne je na tom veľmi podobne aj väčšina návštevníkov londýnskeho týždňa módy. Preto je už tretí rok súčasťou LFW aj International Fashion Showcase - priestor pre prezentáciu mladých, začínajúcich návrhárov z celého sveta. Okrem osvety návštevníkov je to skvelý priestor aj pre samotných návrhárov skonfrontovať svoju tvorbu navzájom a naväzovať kontatky.

Toto bola Argentína. Veľmi nositeľné, farebne neutrálne, veľa prírodných materiálov a veľkých tašiek!

For the second year in a row, thanks to Slovak Fashion Council, young Slovak designers got the chance to exhibit their work, as a part of the joined Central European exhibition (alongside Czech and Hungarian designers).
Now, if I would be a Londoner visiting the showcase, I would probably get a bit lost in the Central European exhibition, taking with me only bits of momentary impressions. Also, based on the experience of seeing other countries' exhibits, I honestly think it would be better for the Slovak (and Czech and Hungarian) fashion and designers to push their local, national fashion and build the brand of their countries. So visitors would form and idea about Slovak/Czech/Hungarian fashion just like I did about the Vietnamese/Paraguay or Qatari (oh, here a little recap on my Instagram from the first day of the showcase, wearing a Qatari cape!)
Apart from that, this year the honor of being selected by the Slovak Fashion Council to join the showcase, was Petra Kubíková (as the winner of Best Fashion Graduate 2013), Andrea Pojezdálová, Kristýna Španihelová, Broňa Brůčková-Žurková and Andrea Ďurianová.

Už druhý rok mohli vďaka aktivite Slovak Fashion Councilu byť súčasťou IFS aj slovenskí dizajnéri, ako súčasť stredoeurópskej výstavy (spolu s českými a maďarskými dizajnérmi).
Ak by som bola londýnsky návštevník showcase, v stredoeurópskej výstave by som sa jemne stratila, dojem by zanechali len konkrétne vystavené kúsky. Taktiež na základe dojmov z ostatných krajín, úprimne si myslím, že by slovenskej (aj českej a maďarskej) móde možno viac pomohlo mať samostatné výstavy a prezentovať Slovensko (Čechy a Maďarsko) silnejšie ako značku. Tak by si návštevníci odniesli silnejší dojem z našej módy, rovnako ako som si ja odniesla dojem z vietnamskej/paraguajskej či katarskej (ozaj, tu na Instagrame je zhrnutie momentov z prvého dňa IFS, vrátane môjho skúšania katarského plášťa).
Každopádne, tento rok sa showcase za Slovensko zúčastnili Petra Kubíková (ako víťazka Best Fashion Graduate 2013), Andrea Pojezdálová, Kristýna Španihelová, Broňa Brůčková-Žurková a Andrea Ďurianová. 

Part of the opening night of the Central European exhibition was a little fashion show by Petra Ptáčková. And seeing many familiar faces :-)

Súčasťou našej, stredoeurópskej otváracej noci bola malá prehliadky Petry Ptáčkovej. A príjemné stretnutia známych tvárí :-)

White shirt, at London Fashion Week

Actually, another white shirt (like in the previous post), worn in a totally different way. Both girls could be easy part the white shirt project. Update on that one: slowly finishing photographing another 13 women in their white shirts, hope to finish soon :-)

Teraz som si všimla, že aj táto mladá žena má ako základ bielu košeľu (ako žena v predošlom poste), ale na úplne iný štýl. Obidve by vlastne mohli byť súčasťou projektu bielych košelí. Ozaj, jeho druhé kolo je vo fáze pomalého finišovania fotení s ďalšími 13 ženami, a dúfam, že čoskoro uzrie svetlo :-)
